OK Club Diving Center offers scuba diving experiences, snorkeling trips, and dive courses in the Andaman Sea. We are also the only dive centre on Koh Lanta offering technical and cave diving courses.

Our team brings together experience across recreational, specialties, technical and cave diving, combined with in-depth local knowledge of the dive sites and diving conditions.

First Boat Out, Home by Lunch

We are the first boat to depart from Koh Lanta, leaving at 7:00 in the morning with the goal of arriving at the dive sites before the crowds. Starting early means more peaceful dives, a more relaxed atmosphere underwater, and more time to enjoy the rest of your day.

After returning around midday, you can enjoy lunch and still have the afternoon free for exploring, relaxing, or spending time with family and friends.

Our instructors are active divers with more than 25 years of combined teaching experience. From first-timers to experienced divers continuing their training, we focus on clear communication, personal attention, and helping each individual to develop their skills with confidence.

THE TEAM

ANDRE LONGCHAMPS

After many hard working years in the food industry, André decided to spend his holidays in Egypt in 2010, with friends who were already certified scuba divers. At this time he had no interest in scuba diving.

This holiday was life changing. After his first dive, André decided to become a scuba diver and two years later he became an instructor. His new job gave him a possibility to travel and gain work experience in Egypt, Turkey, France and Thailand.

André also enjoys jumping out of airplanes and is a skydiving coach. So when he is not in the ocean, you might see him in the sky.

SAARA LONGCHAMPS

Saara has a background in the media industry, but also many years of work experience in restaurant and hospitality business. She has always loved travelling and exploring new cultures and places. During her travels around South East Asia, she visited Krabi in Thailand, and immediately felt like home. She soon fell in love with scuba diving and started her career in this fascinating underwater industry.

Today, Saara is living her dream, as she combines her media skills with scuba diving and the amazing underwater world.

FELIX DESCHENES

Felix has been diving since 2016 and has shared his passion professionally as an instructor since November 2017. In 2020, he expanded his skills to become both a full cave and sidemount diver.

He has taught in stunning locations all around the world — with most of his time spent in Thailand, Malaysia, and Mexico — always bringing a friendly, patient approach to every dive.

If he’s not underwater, you’ll probably find him on a long walk with his dogs, enjoying the simple moments between adventures.

ALJA SIEBER

Alja worked most of her career as a Philanthropy specialist for the Red Cross, raising funds for humanitarian work. After years in the office, she decided to trade her desk for the underwater world — a place that had always fascinated her.

Now, as an SSI Instructor, Alja enjoys introducing beginners to the magic of diving and helping more experienced divers feel confident and even more at ease beneath the surface.

IORITZ VILLANUEVA

Ioritz has been living the ocean life for over three years. In the water all year round, he works as a sailing instructor in the summer and as an underwater photographer in the winter.

He has also worked in hospitality, where he learned a great deal about people — how to connect, communicate, and create memorable experiences. Having traveled extensively, different places and cultures have shaped the way he sees the ocean and the world.

Diving changed his life. Beneath the surface, he found his passion, his career, and a new perspective.

Our Story

OK Club was originally founded by Sergei Goncharenko in 2011, with a passion for diving and a desire to share it with others. From the very beginning, the company offered recreational diving alongside technical and cave diving training.

A New Chapter

Like many businesses in the diving industry, COVID brought everything to a sudden stop. When the world slowed down and diving tourism came to a standstill, we found ourselves with something we rarely had before: time. That time away from the water also gave us an opportunity to rethink where we wanted OK Club to go.

Instead of stepping away from diving, we used that time to pursue our passion further. We spent more time training, exploring and developing our skills in technical and cave diving. This pause gave OK Club another dimension: an opportunity to focus to the kind of diving we are increasingly passionate about.

Finding Our People

As things started to open up again, OK Club began to grow in a new way too. We met people who shared our approach to diving, our curiosity and our way of working. Some brought years of experience, while others grew with us along the way.

One person joined, then another, and over time we found the group that works together today.

We have built a team with different backgrounds and strengths, but a shared passion for doing things properly.

For us, OK Club is more than a place to work. It’s a team we look forward to returning to season after season.

OK CLUB Today

Today, OK Club brings together recreational, technical and cave diving, with courses and dive trips around Koh Lanta, Krabi and Nakhon area. We remain a small team, with a focus on small groups, personal attention and sharing our love of diving with the people who join us.

We’re still growing, learning and finding new ways to explore what’s possible underwater — while keeping the same spirit that makes OK Club what it is today.

Our Diving Philosophy

We believe that a good diving experience is much more than just visiting a dive site with a nice visibility. It is about being properly prepared, understanding the conditions, diving within your limits, and having the time to enjoy what is happening around you.

We take a considered approach to diving, from planning and equipment preparation to briefings and in-water support. We want our divers to feel comfortable asking questions (in fact we encourage them to do that), developing their skills, and feel confident in their diving.

For us, every type of diving and every diving experience starts with good preparation, clear communication, and respect for the underwater environment.

Keeping the Passion Alive

Sergey Goncharenko is the original founder of OK Club Thai on Koh Lanta, as well as the founder of Abyss in St. Petersburg, Russia.

His first experience underwater was in 2007, and he became a PADI Instructor in 2009, followed by TDI-SDI Instructor certification. His work took him to many places, including Indonesia, Thailand, Norway and Egypt, where he built a reputation as a highly skilled instructor with a deep love and passion for the sea.

Sergey suddenly passed away in 2017 in a non-diving-related incident. His passion for diving and the spirit he brought to OK Club remain an important part of our story, and we continue to keep his legacy alive through the people, diving and community he helped inspire.
