KOH HAA DIVE SITES
Koh Haa is formed by five limestone islands surrounded by a variety of reefs, walls, caverns and swim-throughs. With more than 30 possible dive sites, Koh Haa offers different underwater environments for beginners, experienced recreational divers, technical divers as well as photographers and snorkelers.

Diving in Koh Haa
Koh Haa is one of the main dive destinations we visit from Koh Lanta. The five limestone islands create a variety of underwater landscapes, from shallow reefs and sandy areas to walls, caverns and swim-throughs.
The sites offer something different depending on your experience and what you want to explore. The Lagoon is well suited to newer divers, while the Cathedral and Chimney offer more challenging underwater terrain for divers with appropriate experience and skills.

The Lagoon
The Lagoon offers shallow water and a gently sloping sandy bottom, making it a comfortable environment for newer divers and a useful place to practise buoyancy and diving skills.
Suitable for: Beginners / All levels
Koh Haa Yai or 5 - The Cathedral
The Cathedral is a series of underwater caverns and swim-throughs with openings that allow natural light into the chambers. It is particularly interesting for divers who enjoy exploring underwater formations and photography.
Suitable for: Experienced divers with appropriate training
Koh Haa 1 - The Chimney
The Chimney is a network of swim-throughs connecting the deeper reef at around 18 metres with a rounded chamber at 4–5 metres. From that chamber, a second passage leads through the rock towards the shallower reef at around 6 metres. The surrounding reef and chamber can also be explored without swimming through the full chimney.
Suitable for: All levels of diving and snorkelling. Swim-throughs of the Chimney best suited to divers with good buoyancy control.
Marine Life at Koh Haa
Koh Haa's reefs are home to a variety of marine life, from colourful corals and reef fish to sea stars and octopus. Smaller species can also be found around the reef, making the area interesting for divers who enjoy looking closely for macro life. Reef sharks are sometimes seen, while larger visitors such as whale sharks and manta rays have also been spotted in the area.

Koh Haa has sites suitable for different levels of certified divers, from shallow reefs to deeper walls, caverns and swim-throughs. Our team chooses the sites according to the experience of the group and conditions on the day.
Koh Haa is also a popular destination for snorkelling, with shallow reefs, clear water and plenty of marine life to explore from the surface.
A Day Trip to Ko Haa From Koh Lanta
Join us for a day of diving to Koh Haa. Our day trip includes two dives, with equipment, hotel transfers (between Saladan and Klong Nin, with Sri Lanta Resort being the last stop), breakfast, drinks, fruit and lunch provided. After the dives, we return to Koh Lanta around midday.
The exact dive sites are planned according to sea conditions and the experience of the divers on board.

Koh Haa is about 30 km from Koh Lanta and journey to the site takes around 35 minutes by speedboat.
